Emu64 is a pure hobby project and I constantly improve it. Emu64 was born in 1994. At this time Emu64 was written for DOS in assembly only. After Windows95 was released assembly turned into C++. And still today Emu64 is coded in C++.
Besides the compatibility the main focus is to keep the emulator user friendly.
So I can only say..: Have a lot of fun with Emu64 !!!

Emu64 is a low level emulator that reproduces the Commodore C64 on a Windows PC. Using Emu64 is easier than using a real C64. All important functions can be executed with a mouseclick. Not only the C64 is emulated but also different additional hardware like the datasette, discdrive or the use of cartridges. There are a lot of extra functions for the normal user and even more for the advanced coder.
Note
The functions you can use depend on the version of Emu64 you use. So it's best to always use the newest version of Emu64.
The screenshots are there for a better understanding but they may differ from the display seen on your system. The version numbers can also differ from the current release but the shown function is still working the same way.
Click
Press the primary mousebutton and realease it. The primary mousebutton is the button you use the most. For most useres this is the left mousebutton if you didn't configure your mouse for lefthanded people in the personal settings of your computer.
Right Click
Press the secondary mousebutton and release it. The secondary mousebutton is the one you use less, for most users this is the right mousebutton.
Doubleclick
Press the primary mousebutton fast two times.
Drag
Move the mouse while keeping the primary mousebutton pressed.
Drop
Release the mousebutton.
Contexmenu
If there is a context menu available you open it by pressing the secondary mousebutton. Use the mouse to hover over the different options of the menu and choose the entry you like by pressing the left mousebutton.
