Menu: Settings → Emu64 Settings → Sound
In this area of the Emu64 settings you can set the PC audio settings.
Use this pulldown menu to set the quality of the sound output of Emu64. You set the sample rate for this. 44100Hz is the usual sample rate of a normal audio CD. Most soundcards use 44100Hz as a default value. The lower you set the frequency the worse the sound of the sound output gets.
Use this pulldown menu to set the buffer time. The lower you set the buffer time the smaller the latency period between video- and audio-output gets. 20ms buffer time means video- and sound-output happens synchronously, but you need a powerful PC for this.
You use this button to set the sample rate and the buffer time back to the Emu64 default values.
A real C64 floppy drive sure is noisy. The movement of the write-/read head creates the typical sounds while working. Emu64 emulates these sounds. Set a check in the checkbox to activate this function.
Use the slider control to set the volume of the floppy sound emulation.
Close the setup window with the red cross in the upper right corner of the window and all changes are safed.
