Menu: Tools → Quick Freezing → Save [F10]
When clicking on this particular menuitem the current C64 state gets frozen and saved as a file. The file extension of the freeze file is .FRZ. This is a fileformat used by Emu64 only. A lot of games and programs on the C64 don't have a save function but you can use quickfreeze to save the game anywhere you want, close Emu64 and load the exact same state again later on.
You can also use the F10 key to quickfreeze a C64 state.
You can load the .FRZ files directly via the C64 Files menu.
Note
The file quick.frz is saved to „My Documents/EMU64/FREEZ/“. As soon as you quickfreeze another C64 state the quick.frz file is now the new state and the old state is lost forever. But you can rename the quick.frz (for example to savestate01.frz) and explicitly load it via the C64 files menue (autostart).
