Menu: Settings → TV/Video Settings
When opening the menu item TV/Video Settings a new settings window open in which you can change the display settings of Emu64.
Displaying the TV Screen of an old tube television is quite difficult on a modern PC monitor, because the display is much better on a flat screen. The TV/Video Mode settings in Emu64 are changed with horizontal scrollbars.
This controler sets the color saturation.
Value 0 = Black/White screen / Value 100 = intense colors
This controler sets the screen brightness.
Value 0 = dark screen / Wert 100 = very bright screen
This controler sets the screen contrast.
Value 0 = dark screen / Value 100 = very „bright screen“
This controler sets the screen sharpness.
Value 0 = no effect / Value 3 = blurred to the right (little blur)
This controler sets the color components.
Value 0 = no effect / Value 3 = color components are mixed.
This controler shifts the red color difference signal by 180°.
Value 0°= 180° Phasenshift
Every second C64 raster line (of 312 raster lines) is phase shifted by 180°. If the controler is moved towards -45° or 45° the phase shift is distorded.
This controler influences the scanlines.
Value 0% = no Scanlines / Value 100% = blurred Scanlines
This function only has an effect when double texture size is actived in the Settings -> Emu64 Settings -> Graphics Settings menu. The double TV Screen display stretches the screen. Every second raster line is dropped and the display is a mixture from the previous rasterline and the next rasterline of the C64 (theoretically weakened by 75%). The 75% can be changed with the controller.
All controllers are set to the default values. This happens on click without another question.
Close the setup window with the close symbol in the upper right . The settings are safed and used.
Note
These settings have an effect only when PAL Videodisplay is activated in Settings-> Emu64 Settings-> Graphics Settings. The VIC settings don't have any effect on this.
