Emu64 Settings: Graphics

Menu: Settings → Emu64 Settings → Graphics

In this menu you can change the video display of Emu64.

C64 Colormode

C64 Colormode

You can chose a color palette from the pull down menu. The choice is only active once you deactived the PAL video display. The choices are as follows:

CCS64 testscreen in colormode: CCS64
Pc64 testscreen in colormode: Pc64
C64s testscreen in colormode: C64s
Vice testscreen in colormode: Vice
Frodo testscreen in colormode: Frodo
black/white testscreen in colormode: schwarz/weiß

Window Mode

PAL Videodisplay

This setting simulates a TV screen on the C64 screen. You can even change more settings with Settings-> TV/Video Settings.

double texture size

This function doubles the display of the original TV screen. Changes are only visible after acknowledging the changed setting.

Vertical Sync

Vertical Sync prevents your graphiccard from refreshing the screen while the screen is build. This reduces flickering.

Hardware Filter

This function activates hardware filters of your graphiccard. This uses DirectX.

Currently only the bilinear filter is used. This filter smoothes the resized textures.

Fullscreen Mode

Videomode

This pull down menu lets you chose the resolution for the fullscreen mode.

Stretch

When choosing a resolution within Videomode that is not a 4:3 aspect ratio Emu64 puts black frames to the sides of the display. If you activate this function the display image is stretched to fill the whole screen.

Format

Use the pull down menu to set the graphic format of the screenshots Emu64 produces

The default format is PNG. You can choose between BMP, JPG, PNG, DDS, PPM, DIB, HDR and PFM.

The screenshots are numbered by an increasing 4 digits counter, starting with 0000. If you click on this button the counter starts with 0000 again.

Note



Emu64 will overwrite a file if a screenshot with the exact same name already exist.

Close window

Close the setup window with the red cross in the upper right corner of the window and all changes are safed.
