Emu64 features two different methods to reset the C64. There are a lot of programs (especially a lot of games) that don't have an exit function, so a reset is quite common for a C64.

Soft Reset [ESC]
Hard Reset [SHIFT-ESC]

Reset without deleting the RAM-memory.
Reset with complete deletion of the C64 state.
